In a recent move, Google had announced that AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages will be displayed in the mobile search results for the search engine. AMP is an open source program aimed at improving the mobile interface and was launched in October, 2015. Basically, it moves to remove all elements which may cause web pages to load slower on mobile platforms such as android, ioS etc. These may include java scripts, unnecessary navigational elements and spammy ads. However, HTTPS is mandatory for such pages.

If you are wondering how to react to this move by Google, it’s quite simple. All you have to remember is that AMP will create web pages for each search request of yours will not only load faster but, you can also scroll or flip through them faster. This is due to the reason which we stated before where AMP completely removes all hindrances from web pages for mobile view.
Experts state that, “AMP is great for browsing the web on mobile devices, because web pages built with AMP load an average of four times faster and use 10 times less data than equivalent non-AMP pages. In many cases, they’ll load instantly. its how reading on the mobile web should be—fast, responsive and fun.”
AMP pages will be highlighted in the mobile version of the search engine. AMP is generally used by publishing or technology companies etc. While making your website AMP ready is not necessary for most businesses, if you run a news related or SEO business, you may want to look into implementing this change.
