Following the latest Penguin Update that was rolled out by Google last week, most of the SEO professionals and website-owners are curious to know the timeframe required for them to recover from the previous Penguin penalties.
Gary Illyes of Google has cleared the air saying Penguin recoveries have started happening and will be completed by next week.
So, the websites that have been hit by Penguin Updates previously, now stand the chance to notice some improvement, provided they have already taken the corrective measures. It’s more likely to happen this week itself.
The process of removing a penalty involves the devaluation of poor backlinks. However, it will not help your website automatically rise up the ladder on SERPs.
If all you have done to fix the issue is the removal of bad links, you won’t be able to see some significant improvement in the rankings of your site. However, if you have done it in a professional manner and have also added some fresh, quality backlinks then you may notice some significant improvement in search engine rankings this week.
