Did You Notice another Quality Update from Google On November 19, 2015
December 4, 2015
The new core ranking algorithm update is already being rumored as “Phantom 3” and people are calling it another “Quality Update”
Are rankings shifting again?
On November 19, 2015, SEO professionals and webmasters noticed major shuffle in Google rankings once again. Though Google was tightlipped about this as usual, but there is enough evidence to suggest that something drastic was happening. There are three possibilities here:
A. It was some major update Google didn’t want to make public
B. It was one regular update among hundreds of others
C. There was nothing and few sites were affected as part of the regular periodic updates
Google has however denied any such update taking place and reiterated that hundreds of updates keep on happening round the clock at Google.
Phantom & the Quality Update
The Quality Update had happened in May this year and it was confirmed by Google that it was a core ranking algorithm update. In fact, it was referred to as “Phantom 2” by the industry circles; because it was felt that it was like a sequel to the first Phantom update in 2013, which was later named as Phantom or Phantom 1. If your site has been penalized as a result of any Phantom update, you can read how to recover from Google Phantom 2 update.
If you are not able to follow, please go through the summary of these updates:
