Google has always been a company which is extremely comfortable with experiments no matter what the nature. These experiments could be changes in the algorithm, the user policy, the design or any kind of new web products that they launch. Alterations, modifications and improvements keep happening when Google engineers are involved.

One of the latest changes to be made to the search engine is in the arena of Google Organic Search. The organic search section is where listings for small businesses and large-scale retailers are placed. These appear in terms of their relevance to the search terms as opposed to the kind of marketing used by search engine marketers to place advertisements. Recently, a number of users had reported that they had started seeing phone numbers being listed in the organic search section as provided by the business. This meant that business listings would now appear with a clickable phone number under it, which could be clicked directly to place a call.
Organic search, also called “natural search” is considered to be the goal for any good SEO campaign. To rank naturally, without extra marketing efforts would go on to prove the business’s worth and this is why ranking high in organic search is considered so valuable. With the addition of clickable phone numbers to organic search, Google has made a move which could very well change how business listings are approached.
