8 PPC Blogs You Need to Eat for Breakfast

Taste best with anything!
Are you as clueless about PPC as I was a month back? To give you an idea, I was so clueless that it was hilarious and sad at the same time. BUT I’ve crossed that bridge, one breakfast at a time. And here is a list of the eight blogs that have been on the menu and will be for a long, long time. To make it easier for you, I’ve added social scores. And since social scores aren’t always the best measure for quality, there are micro descriptions too, AND memes to describe the blogs perfectly so you know your ‘best bet’. (Get it? Get it? Ok)
You’re welcome.
- Inside Adword
Tweeps: 90,000
This one is a no brainer and hence the first blog on the list too. It has everything from new techniques for conversion funnel understanding, to detailed walk-throughs for newly launched products and pre planning holiday data fields (yes, thank you). With this blog you can be sure you’ll be the first one to find out about every major change. Ace those PPC plans like a boss!

- Search Engine Watch
Tweeps: 56,000
You’ll want to head over to their PPC section if you’re specifically reading up for PPC. But Search Engine Watch is one blog every online marketer swears by and rightly so. SEW covers various PPC related topics multiple times in a week. The blog has detailed how-tos that make the content extremely actionable and that’s my favorite feature about the blog. All in all, a complete PPC package in one blog. And if you want a specific query to be answered, you can send them a story tip. Neat!

- Bing Ads Blog
Tweeps: 20,500
So, this was the first blog I was recommended to go to when I told them PPC geeks that I have absolutely no clue where to start from. And it was good advice. Bing enjoys a market share of 20%. For those who’re looking at targeting the consumer audience, this is one blog that shouldn’t be missed.

- WordStream
Tweeps: 16,503
Word Stream was founded by Larry Kim. Although that’s enough of an introduction, for those who cite “What’s in a name”, Larry’s treatment of various PPC topics enables you to visualize it as one part of a huge marketing mix. That’s one thing we tend to forget in our hyper expertise job roles. Side effects of this blog include wholesome and integrated PPC plans. So yeah, Larry Kim.

- PPC Hero
Tweeple: 10,000+
This blogs aptomic name says it all. The authors smoothly glide from basic how-to blogs to high expertise bid automation techniques. What I love about the authors is that they aren’t scared to take a chance; you either hit bull’s eye or learn a lesson. They’ll take the bullet and tell you if it hurt.

- Acquisio
Tweeple: 3,500+
Every PPC question you’ve ever had has already been answered here. Sometimes you’ll log in thinking you’ll write to the authors and request a solution only to find their latest blog post talking about the very same thing. They read minds. It’s nice, kinda creepy, but nice.

- PPC on Quora
Quora followers :2000+
Okay, so this is not really a ‘blog’ but the kind of knowledge you’ll find here is mind blowing! Sometimes I just sit with my meal in a bowl and read all night. It’s a huge web of Quora discussions on SEM (5,500+), Google Adwords (7,500+), and Internet advertising (12,000+) with so many people interested in the same topics it’s a beautiful Quora-ception.

- Tenscores
Tweeple: 400+
Remember in the beginning of this blog I said Social scores aren’t always a good parameter to judge? Exhibit A: Tenscores. You’ll want to look out for the company’s co-founder Chris’s posts, they’re mindblowing! This blog is my personal pride, it’s like a rare hidden undiscovered gem. And it has its own Google AdWords quality score tracking tool. Ten points to Tenscores!

I’m done, and now, you’re it! Tell me what favorite PPC blog is and make this article better with your comments. May the bidforce be with us.
