Bing Ads has come up with a new idea that would help you promote your social channels in search ads. These social extensions, presently being tested by Bing, would appear under the ad copy of text ads and can be used to link right to advertisers’ Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr accounts. Users will be able to click on any of the links and go to the advertiser’s profile on the respective network.

“Businesses today spend a lot of time and resources to engage customers on social media and use paid search to drive traffic. Bing Ads team believes it’s time to build a bridge between two,” said Aurea Astro, program manager for Bing Ads Platform in a blog post announcing the beta. Experts believe that this idea by Bing is a brilliant way of directing users to different social channels.
Many advertisers have in the past realized the importance of social channels not only in engaging customers with brands but also in getting the right kind of feedback. So this step by Bing would certainly add to the public engagement on these social networks and give them a better way to connect with the social channels of different advertisers. This is currently being tested in the US and users could get this feature on their Bing search engine by contacting the Bing Ads representatives. And for the time being, till this service is expanded, Bing itself would be taking feedback on this feature through their different social media networks.
